Civil Engineer - Hay River, NT
The Northwest Territories Power Corporation is a fully regulated utility that generates and distributes power in over 25 communities within the Northwest Territories. Located near the Alberta/Northwest Territories border on a paved road system, Hay River is a modern northern community of approximately 3,500 residents.
Under the direction of the Manager, Civil, provides civil design and project management services, from the conceptual stage through to commissioning, for capital projects and maintenance support activities involving the Corporation’s generating stations and transmission and distribution systems. Qualifications: Civil Engineering degree and eligibility for registration with NAPEGG, with related experience with hydro generation, dam safety, hydrology, water management and project management. Accomplished computer skills including AutoCAD are required. Salary range starts at $47.98 per hour. A Civil EIT with at least two years experience may be considered at a lower pay range.
