The Northwest Territories
Power Corporation is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Open Sky
Arts Festival that is to be held in Fort Simpson from June 29 to July
1.
'We were pleased
to be invited to participate in this event as a major sponsor as it
has wide appeal to a large cross section of the community and is being
promoted throughout the Deh Cho region by the organizers' said Corporation
spokesman Peter Watt.
The Festival will
take place on the Fort Simpson Papal Flats and adjoining Heritage Park
and will include outdoor concerts, drum dance, art and craft exhibits,
workshops, theatre and a parade.
'The organizers
have done a terrific job working hard to make this inaugural event a
success and we were delighted to be able to contribute a $1,000. The
Corporation also agreed to help promote the Festival by enclosing an
information flyer in with customers' bills that have been sent out to
the Deh Cho communities over the past few weeks' said Watt
'We hope many of
our customers from around the region will join in the festivities which
promise to be very exciting.'
