Richard Nerysoo
(Inuvik), President of Trailbreaker Energy Services Inc., and former
Member of the Legislative Assembly and Premier of the Northwest Territories
will serve as Chairperson of the NWTPC. “Mr. Nerysoo brings extensive
Board and governance experience to his appointment,” the Minister
noted.
Mr. Nerysoo has
held previous appointments or positions with the Gwich’in Development
Corporation, Canada Post Corporation, NWT Community Mobilization and
the Aboriginal Summit as well as being a past President of the Gwich’in
Tribal Council.
Peter Allen, President
of Nexus Group Limited, a Yellowknife consulting company, has been designated
as Vice-Chairperson.
The remaining appointees to the NWTPC Board at this time are Peter Guther
(Norman Wells) Marion Lavigne (Yellowknife) Ray Woods (Calgary) and
Louis Sebert (Fort Smith).
