Planned Outages

• August 15 to 26, 2011 - Fort Smith, Buffalo Junction, Hay River and Fort Resolution will run on diesel power - **Planned Outage** - Taltson will be undergoing a planned outage due to annual maintenance. Fort Smith, Buffalo Junction, Hay River and Fort Resolution will run on diesel power.
• July 14-18, 2011 - Fort Smith - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be doing maintenance and upgrading equipment in Fort Smith.
• July 4th and 7th, 2011 - Fort Resolution & Buffalo Junction - **Planned Outage** - The Taltson plant will experience a planned outage from Monday, July 4th at 1pm to Thursday July 7th at 5pm. Fort Smith, Buffalo Junction, Hay River and Fort Resolution will run on diesel power.
• May 5, 6, 7, 2011 - Fort Resolution & Buffalo Junction - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be conducting a planned outage as follows: Thursday, May 5, 2011 - 1:30pm-9:00pm, Friday, May 6, 2011- 9:30am-5:30pm, and Saturday, May 6, 2011 - 9:00am-2:00pm. Fort Resolution and Buffalo Junction customers will be affected at the beginning and end of each work period.
• May 4, 5, 6, 2011 - Fort Smith, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be conducting a planned outage on May 4th to 6th from 7:00am - 11:00am due to system upgrades on the Fort Smith substation. During this period, customers may experience an outage.
• January 23, 2011- Fort Resolution, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned outage on January 23 around 7:00 AM to complete required repairs. All customers in Fort Resolution will experience a brief outage before the repairs begin to switch to diesel service and again when repairs have been completed to switch back to hydro service.
  
• November 30, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned partial outage on November 30th from 5:00-6:30am as NTPC will be adding an extension to our system.. Only customers living in the following areas will be affected: airport customers including all hangers, barracks, and helicopter bases will be without electrical service.
  
• November 11, 2010 - Fort Resolution, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be conducting a planned outage on November 11, 2010 from 11:00-11:15am as NTPC will be conducting repair work to fix damaged equipment due to a recent wind storm. Only customers living in the Fort Resolution area will be affected.
• November 4, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned partial outage on November 4thfrom 7:00-7:20pm to correct voltage issues affecting the industrial area. Only customers living in the following areas will be affected: Customers in the Navey Road from Kingmingya Road north including the industrial area and a small section of residences north of Bonneplume Road and west of Reliance Street will be affected.
• October 12, 2010 - Jean Marie River, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be conducting a planned outage on October 12th from 3:30-4:30pm as NTPC will be installing equipment at the Jean Marie River power plant. Only customers living in the Jean Marie River area will be affected.
• September 12, 2010 - Behchoko, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned outage on September 12th from 6:00-9:00am as NTPC will be conducting repair work to fix damage caused to some equipment by a lightning storm this past summer. Only customers living in the Behchoko area will be affected.
• September 11, 2010 - Fort Simpson, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned outage on September 11th from 7:00-10:00am as NTPC line crews extend the distribution services to a new customer. Only customers living in the following areas will be affected: flats by the Papal Site, and Residents and businesses from the airport to the top of the hill.
• August 16, 2010 - South Slave Region - **Planned Outage** - NTPC will be conducting a planned outage on August 16th NTPC will conduct two tests at the Taltson Hydro Plant near Fort Smith.This will result in two 20-30 second interruptions, one around 9:00 am and
  another around 10:30 am All customers All customers in Fort Smith, Fort Fitzgerald, Fort Resolution, Pine Point/Hay River, Sand Hills and Buffalo Junction will be affected.
• July 10, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned outage on July 10th from 6:00-10:00am to facilitate the addition of new customers to Inuvik's electrical system. Only customers living in the following areas will be affected: Centennial Street, Bonnet Plume Street, Kugmalut Road, Inuit Road, and Alder Road.
