Outages

• July 19, 2010 - Tsiigehtchic, NT - A total outage occurred at 11:20pm due to a mechanical fault. Power was fully restored to the community at 12:25am on July 20th.
• July 15, 2010 - Hay River/Fort Smith/Fort Resolution, NT - A severe lightning storm at the Taltson Hydro facility caused a system wide outage at 8:14pm. Power was restored to Hay River at 9:00pm, to Fort Smith at 9:33pm, and Fort Resolution at 12:15am.
• July 14, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - During the response to a fire at a local store, the primary conductors feeding the store became entangled causing a system fault at 5:30am. Staff were called in to determine the nature of the fault, fix the issue, and reenergize the plant. Power was fully restored to the community at 8:15am.
• July 13, 2010 - Gameti, NT - An total outage occurred at 7:45pm due to a mechanical fault. Power was fully restored to the community at 8:10pm.
• July 13, 2010 - Yellowknife/Behchoko, NT - Lightning strikes on the Snare hydro line caused a partial outage at 6:36pm. Power restoration started immediately and power was fully restored at 7:40pm.
• July 12, 2010 - Colville Lake, NT - An outage occurred at 7:28am due to an electrical fault. Power was restored to the community at 7:51am.
• July 10, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - **Planned Outage** - NTPC is conducting a planned outage on July 10th from 6:00-10:00am to facilitate the addition of new customers to Inuvik's electrical system. Only customers living in the following areas will be affected: Centennial Street, Bonnet Plume Street, Kugmalut Road, Inuit Road, and Alder Road.

• June 29, 2010 - Fort McPherson, NT - An outage occurred at 12:53am due to severe weather and lightning strikes. Power was restored to the community at 3:02am.

• June 28, 2010 - Yellowknife, Behchoko, and Dettah, NT - An outage occurred at 3:36am due to blown insulators on the Snare line. Power was fully restored to Yellowknife and Dettah, and part of Behchoko, at 4:46am. The remainder of Behchoko was restored at 7:15am.

• June 27, 2010 - Yellowknife, Behchoko, and Dettah, NT - An outage occurred at 11:03pm due to an electrical fault. Power was fully restored at 11:15pm.

• May 29, 2010 - Paulatuk, NT - An outage occurred in Paulatuk at 2:13am due to an electrical issue. Power was full restored to the community at 2:55am.

• May 28, 2010 - Tuktoyaktuk, NT - An outage occurred in Tuktoyaktuk at 7:40am due to an electrical issue. Power was restored manually at 8:05am.

• May 18, 2010 - Inuvik, NT - An outage occurred in Inuvik at 1:18pm due to mechanical trouble. Power was fully restored at 1:35pm.

• April 29, 2010 - Yellowknife, NT - An outage occurred in Yellowknife at 10:03am due to a transmission line failure. Power was fully restored to the city within 19 minutes.
