Mr. Sebert was born in Ottawa in 1950 and graduated from Carleton
University with a degree in Arts (1972) and from the University of
Ottawa with a degree in Law (1975).
After articling in Toronto Mr. Sebert was called to the Bar of Ontario
in 1977, Alberta 1981 and Northwest Territories in 1983 and has practiced
law in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories since 1984.
Since 1984 Mr. Sebert has taught part-time at Aurora College in the
Management and Renewable Resource Programs and has served on the Fort
Smith Town Council from 1987 to 1991 and 1993 to 2000. Since 1996 Mr.
Sebert has served as member of the Labour Standards Board of the Northwest
Territories and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the
Northwest Territories Power Corporation since 2002.
Mr. Sebert lives in Fort Smith with his wife Anne.
