Employee Injured at Jackfish Generating Facility

HAY RIVER, NWT (March 5, 2021) – An employee of the Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) has been injured at the Jackfish Generating Facility in Yellowknife. The employee was transported to the Stanton Territorial Hospital for assessment and treatment. No further information about the condition of the employee will be provided at this time.

The incident has been reported to the Workplace Safety and Compensation Commission and will be thoroughly investigated. 

NTPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of NT Hydro, which in turn is 100 percent owned by the Government of the Northwest Territories.
