Electricity Rates
Electricity rates charged by NTPC are based on the cost of generating and distributing power, plus the cost of operating and maintaining the electrical system, and the cost of meeting other customer requirements.
As a regulated utility, NTPC can only charge customers rates that have been approved by the Public Utilities Board (PUB). This process is called a General Rate Application.
For more information about how electricity rates are set and the General Rate Application process, visit our Rate Regulation page.
