Outages

NTPC generates power for the communities of Yellowknife and Hay River/Enterprise but does not distribute the power.  If we experience an outage in generating power we will provide information on this page.  If there is a problem with the distribution of power then you must contact Northland Utilities for further information.  NTPC does not service the communities of: Fort Providence, Trout Lakes, Kakisa, Wekweeti.

    Outage Notes:

    NTPC wishes to advise the residents of Inuvik that
    there will be a planned power outage on Thursday November 23rd, 2017
    between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.  

    Outage will affect the area of town including; Franklin
    Road, Mackenzie Road west of the Library, Kingmingya Road, Bonnetplume Road,
    Wolverine Road, Ruyant, Dolphin,  Navy
    Road and the industrial area, Northwind, and Airport Road including the Airport
    and Shell Lake.

    This outage is required
    to safely allow maintenance

    Any questions or
    concerns can be directed to NTPC at 1-855-575-6872.

    NTPC appreciates your
    co-operation and apologizes for any inconvenience.

    Please turn off lights and unplug electronics in preparation for power restoration.

    there will be possible intermittent power outages beginning Friday November 24th,
    2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday December 4th 2017  

    Outages will affect the whole town. 
    These outages are
    required to safely allow maintenance of critical systems.
