Tim Dressel serves as Director of Information Technology at NTPC, leading a highly skilled team responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of the organization's comprehensive technology infrastructure. This team ensures the resilience of NTPC's technology portfolio in the face of complex challenges, including those arising from climate change, geographical remoteness, and the vast scale of operations. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Tim plays a pivotal role in driving the technological advancements necessary to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
Tim boasts over two decades of experience in heavy industry, possessing a deep understanding of the convergence between automation, business needs, and emerging technologies. He holds an undergraduate degree in Physics, an MBA specializing in Digital Technologies Management, and a distinguished record of technical certifications. Tim also maintains an active CISSP designation since 2019, reflecting his commitment to cybersecurity best practices and its direct application to the Utility.
