Tim

Tim Dressel serves as Chief Services Officer at the Northwest Territories Power Corporation, providing executive leadership for Information Technology, Human Resources, Customer Service, Supply Chain Management, and Continuous Improvement. Originally from Prince George, British Columbia, Tim pursued a degree in Physics because of his passion for problem solving and understanding how things work. While studying Physics, he discovered a talent for applying technology to real-world challenges, launching a career focused on helping organizations improve performance through the integration of people, processes, and technology. Recognizing the importance of business leadership alongside technical expertise, Tim later earned a Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University.

Over more than two decades, Tim has held leadership roles across the forestry, education, transportation, and utility sectors. His career has included leading continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing, developing a high-speed school district network that became a model in rural British Columbia, advancing digital solutions at the Prince Rupert Port Authority, and modernizing technology and cybersecurity practices at NTPC. Tim believes leadership is fundamentally an act of service, with a responsibility to develop people, foster curiosity, and align decisions with organizational purpose. He was drawn to NTPC by the opportunity to work alongside talented people supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure in a uniquely northern environment and remains inspired by the communities, employees, and families the Corporation serves.
