The Fort McPherson staff house has been owned by NTPC for approximately 30 years. During this time, there have been very few improvements made to the interior and exterior of the accommodation building. The building has suffered wear and tear over the years and requires improvements.

Vegetation Brushing - Inuvik - Duck Lake Park line, Navy Road line and Carn Road line See Appendix C for Map of NTCP Power Lines in Inuvik.

The vegetation has reclaimed these lines making accessing the poles for maintenance difficult. The brush along these lines consists of 90% willows with a height of approximately 3-5 meters. Attached site assessment photos provide location, vegetation types and density.

The Northwest Territories Power Corporation (“NTPC”) is requesting Proposals from qualified “Proponents” to provide vegetation control services to eliminate vegetation in the electrical substations located in the North and South Slave regions. The primary method of control is the use of residual herbicides to keep the sites free of vegetation for one or more seasons. Where sites are near water, only non-residual herbicides and mechanical controls are to be used, pending approval from GNWT Environment and Natural Resources (ENR).

To build and transport transformer to Snare Hydro.  Relocation of the Snare Falls Substation, this portion is to supply a 5/6.6/8.3MVA transformer as per the specifications outlined in the RFP.
